One of the things I haven't come to terms with is fasting!

Therefore, these practices are a way of purifying the body and strengthening the mind and, interestingly, the human body has a remarkable ability to withstand deprivation from food. 

However, it cannot manage sleep deprivation, so make sure you always get enough sleep.

Fasting benefits the body, and unless you have a medical problem, you should try it and see for yourself
